Wits' End Music was founded in 1994.
Dr Robert Keane is one of the most versatile musicians in Australia, equally at home in classical and popular music.
Trained academically to the highest level - a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music - he also has a Masters Degree and a PhD from the University of London.

He has worked for many years as a classical and popular Pianist, Teacher, Conductor, Composer, Arranger, Voice Coach, Examiner, Entertainer, Musical Director and Publisher.
His early career ranged from musicals with JC Williamsons, through Rock’n’Roll with Johnny
O’Keefe to the Concert platform, and beyond.
He was the first Musical Director of the Queensland Theatre Company, and the inaugural Conductor and Music Director of the Queensland Theatre Orchestra.
As Artist-in-Residence at James Cook University he founded and directed the JCU Music Academy, with over two hundred students learning twelve different instruments and Theory. A former Lecturer in Piano, Voice and Composition at Central Queensland University, he teaches Piano, Voice and Composition in all styles from two studios in Brisbane - at Newstead and Bracken Ridge.
He was the first Musical Director of the Queensland Theatre Company, and the inaugural Conductor and Music Director of the Queensland Theatre Orchestra.
